Kansas-My "State" of Mind

Registration Fee - $60, tutorial, paper and pastels included.

Society of Decorative Painters, 1220 E 1st Street, Wichita, KS 67214

9am-5pm, this will be a full-day class and is for the intermediate to advanced artist.

The project is penciled on 11"x14" Fawn Stonehenge paper. The painting is penciled with Rembrandt Lyra Polycolor & Faber-Castell colored pencils. The background shading around the design is applied with NuPastels. The pencils are not included. Supplies are listed below for your ordering convenience. (A tutorial is the color picture, drawing and written lesson with multiple color step-by-steps.)

Use the Uni-Ball pen when transferring the design to the Stonehenge paper. It works better than the Verithin Orange, that we've used in previous classes. The drawing can be applied at the beginning of the class. Supplies will not be mailed ahead of time, unless you choose the $9 option for postage.

The class fee is due at time of registration and is non-refundable. Lunch is not included in the class fee - you'll want to bring your lunch.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

This piece was designed after Hurricane Irma. After sort of experiencing my first hurricane, I began to wonder - Would I rather live through a tornado or a hurricane? Seems an odd choice to base a design off of, but then, I'm a bit odd! We're going to have a fun time!

There are other brands of pencils that you may already have. If you're going to substitute, please talk with me about what brand you have.

This is a full-day class! If you're new to colored pencils and  think that you may feel a bit stressed doing the entire design, then cut it in half and only do the sunflower portion! I want you to be comfortable and at ease with your project!
