What's shown in an Advanced Video?
The Roses on a Jewel Box is a multiple petal rose with growth direction that is flowing from the tip of the petal to the base - but without an "end" to the petal in view. The artist must be able to "see" in their mind where the petal ends, so that all petals will look as though they are flowing from a central point, which is not seen.
The palette of pencils has seven value steps from Highlight to Low Dark.
The project can be completed in 8-12 hours of painting.
Pencils needed: Black Cherry, Carmine Red, Cool Grey 90%, Cream, Dark Green, Dark Purple French Grey 10, 20, 30, & 70%, Marine Green, Peach, Raspberry, Salmon Pink, Sunburst Yellow, White, Bronze – optional, Metallic Gold, Metallic Maroon- sub Raspberry if needed
