Sharpening your skills

Getting one-on-one pointers from J.D.

Recently I attended a portrait drawing workshop hosted by J.D. Hillberry.  It reminded me of what it’s like to be a student, and how much fun it is to get together and share and improve on our drawing and painting skills.  Below is the portrait I did on day one,  read on to see how I honed my skills by day three!

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut doing the same types of things, taking this seminar has refreshed my excitement for new paintings!  I learned new skills, sharpened some old ones, and had such a good time in the process!  If you would like to join me for some fun and learning check out my seminar page.  My last two seminars of the year are in October, be sure to sign up soon.  I also have seminars for 2012 listed, see what fits your schedule and enroll soon.  If you find yourself unable to attend a seminar, you can take a class right at home, order any of my tutorials and have them shipped right to your door.  Also, keep an eye on the website, we hope to have E-Packets available by the end of this year.  An E-Packet is a tutorial that you download right to your computer, and it’s immediately available for your convenience!

Okay here it is, my drawing on day three of the seminar!

As summer turns to fall, the leaves change and the temperature drops, make sure to slow down and take a look at the beauty all around you and don’t be afraid to try something new!

Stay tuned for new colored pencil paintings with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils,
